After a jaunt back into Salford Royal with some dodgey symptoms and struggling with my recovery – we saw one of the doctors who I saw on my first day of diagnosis. He wasn’t worried about any of my symptoms now – they’re all very normal post brain surgery he said! So all good. He did drop the bomb on me that my biopsy results were back though. ALREADY?! it’s not even been a week! So we plucked up the courage to discuss them right there and then. I would have preferred to have been given some more notice – but with results there right now, how could I resist! 

A GRADE TWO ASTROCYTOMA! 

So we always knew it was never a grade 1 because of how big it was and how long it had been there. We were told that weeks ago. So our best option was grade 2 – which is a slow growing tumour. Grade 3 is fast growing. And grade 4 is cancer cells present. So that’s a flipping HUGE win in my books. The absolute best out of a bad situation anyway! So I’m feeling so blessed. Me and mum burst in to tears in the clinic room and I just felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders! So they’ve recommended chemotherapy and radiotherapy at the Christie to attack what’s left of the tumour which should hopefully start in a few weeks time – they’ve recommended this over the tablets to attack it the most aggressively – giving me the best chance at a long life. So I’m just feeling blessed I’m actually able to be in this position where we can continue to kick Nev up the butt as best as we can. That I’m strong enough to do so! Wins all round today! 

And tonight we get to take our friends out for tea, celebrating a birthday for a special friend who been there for us no end over the past few months (and beyond). So a big celebration is in order tonight for sure ❤️
